Let me Explain

I go storm chasing!  It is my hobby and passion and I'm aware of how weird that sounds! I can only speak for myself but while out Storm Chasing I take some really weird pictures, say some really weird things (like when speaking to Buck who is British I asked him what language he spoke, MKAY yeah, it's English guys....in case you were wondering)
and usually become very slap happy with all the long hours in the Vans!

We brave the elements and video each other!

We sometimes see the DOMINATOR!

We always encourage storm Tattoos

And our eyes are always on the prize...

Although you can imagine the close quarters...we always "pretend" to get along!

Storm chasers are cute...

and have to make tough decisions!

We pray, do rain dances, and talk some tall S#&t to a rotating super cell!

Even this "city girl" goes alittle COUNTRY out on the plains!

I've met amazing people and gained life-long friendships

I saw this Tornado in La Grange, Wyoming in 2009

I can only hope to pass through this town every year!

We pulled into a town inTexas right after it was hit with grapefruit size hail...that shook me to the core.

I dread this happening...

I was scared and can admit it when I saw this Tornado in Campo, Colorado in 2010.

I love taking pictures of animals...But I'm still learning what my big fat Italian Nikon can do to make the pictures even better!  So these pics. are taken in the "WILD" aka the end of my street!   Your probably thinking, "Seriously you have Elk (that look just like reindeer) on your street?"  

These are the thoughts that crossed my mind when I spotted them...
Oh no!  What if they Charge me!
When do they walk around....at night? (cause they were laying on the ground)
Wonder if they walk on the sidewalks?
Do they ever attack people?  Sooo after I got all that nonsense out I took an obscene amount of photographs of them!  So check it out...

My big fat Italian Nikon

So last night when we pulled in the driveway I noticed a large brown box on the front porch.  James is always buying/selling stuff on eBay so I figured it was just another package for him. 
When I finally remembered it was out there about 9:30pm, I grabbed it and sure enough To: JAMES From: HUH??? Mail 'n Stuff in Glen Ellyn IL, which can only be from one person, my Stepmom, Helen :)  Sooo I was thinking... what in Gods name would Helen be sending to James that I wouldn't know about it????  I called James and he said to set it aside, and since I was so tired and had to work early this morning, I did!(Shocking I know Leah)
However today after work, the real ME came back and after many phone calls (cause James is traveling) threatening to open the box anyways!!! classy, huh?
He agreed and inside the mystery box from Glen Ellyn was  a LARGE, black, Heavy, shiny, intimidating, gorgeous, where have you been all my life... SLR Nikon D300 CAMERA!!!    Can you believe this????  I finally have a Bomb ass camera!!!  I am sooo excited so of course I went on a PROFESSIONAL photo shoot....and after developing the film in my darkroom(lol) I noticed I have room for improvement but also see my road to greatness!  I just drove around and snapped away.  I felt like a paparazzi:
 an Italian term used to refer to photojournalists who specialize in candid photography of celebrities, politicians, and other prominent people. organization.
Which in fact is how it got the name my big fat Italian Nikon... besides if you know me, you know I'm a total WOP!   So let me know what you think of the BFIN or the paparazzi behind it...

The men in my life

My husband James David has the kindest soul.  I continue to fall more and more in love with him everyday.  Well only the days that he's traveling.... ah  haha ha!  Don't worry, we are not always happy(gag me with a spoon)...  but it's a choice for us and most of the time we choose wisely!  I have learned that marriage is hard and that for us understanding and respect keep us on the same page.   Luckily James and I are friends and we really like each other alot.  Plus he is Hot.  (that's an added bonus)

This brings me to my current thought...

Some day some lucky person is going to fall in love with Angelo. 

Will it be his eyes...his personality or his kind soul?
